FACT CHECK: Andrew Scheer caught spreading false online conspiracy theory

The Facts: As we have seen in the past, Andrew Scheer was caught this week repeating a false online conspiracy theory as his Conservative Party doubles down on Harper-style divisive politics.

Rather than checking publicly available facts, Scheer falsely claimed a British murderer would be moving to Canada. The claim was quickly proven false, by both the British and Canadian officials.

It’s typical of the Conservatives – they pretend they’re for the people but then cut taxes for the wealthiest while cutting services for everybody else.
